Regular disinfection of materials and more specifically alternating mattress systems is crucial to achieve good care. This is often overlooked, yet a mattress is an item that has the most and prolonged contact with the patient or resident. We often still come across mattresses that have been in service for weeks or months without having undergone proper disinfection.
PRS Medical mattresses are fully machine cleanable and disinfectable. Not only the cover, but also the entire bottom in which the air cells are located. For that very reason, our mattresses do not contain foams because these cannot be professionally disinfected.
Recently, PRS Medical has obtained the RABC certificate, thanks to a successful certification audit by BQA. It is a quality management system according to the European directive NEN-EN 14065, version 2016, which guarantees the microbiological quality of our end products. RABC is the abbreviation of Risk Analysis Biocontamination Control and applies to all our decontamination processes and therefore guarantees the hygienic purity of the end products delivered by PRS Medical, such as our alternating mattresses, seat cushions and related products that you rent from us or have disinfected and maintained by us.
Our decontamination service involves us coming to your site, taking the equipment with us, completely cleaning and disinfecting it, reassembling it, testing it, packaging it and delivering it back to you.
Even if you do not have any infections, disinfection can be a good investment: the material is checked, it is clean and it smells pleasantly fresh again!
